Pulihora new style
1 medium glass cooked rice ( cool and transfer
into a separate bowl)
1-2 tbs. mustard powder
2 tsp. Freshly grind red chillies paste
( can use red chillies and tamarind paste
Without seasoning if available at home)
1 tsp. Freshly grind tamarind paste ( use
tamarind pickle without seasoning)
seasoning:-
4 tbs Olive oil
1/2cup. Roasted ground nuts
2,3 curry leaves strands
1 tbs Channa dal
1 tbs Urad dal
1/2 Mustard seeds
6 Green chillies
1/4 tsp Hing
1/2 tsp. turmeric
salt to taste
method:-
Take a wide bottom pan , add 4 tsp of oil.
Add ground nuts , channa dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, hing. After they are nicely roasted, add hing and curry leaves . Now add green chillies.
Add the red chillies paste, tamarind paste and mustard powder. Stir them for 2 minutes, add salt , turmeric and cooked rice and mix it gently.
keep for 5 minutes and check to taste . Transfer into a bowl.
