Kootu Miriyam

Kootu miriyam

 
1/2 kg. Cluster beans
100 gms. Toovar dal

Masala
1 tsp. Jeera
2 tsp. Coriander seeds
8-10. Black pepper corn
1 tsp. Rice soaked in water
7-10. Red chillies
Grind the masala along with soaked rice.( drain excess water)

Method

Cook dal and vegetable separately.
Mix both of them
Add the masala paste
Add tamarind pulp
Cook for 5 minutes
Season with mustard seeds,red chilli hing, and curry leaves .
Top with finely cut coriander leaves.

Optional
Coconut powder can also be added,it enhances the taste.
