1glass. Channa dal
1 glass. Urad dal
1tbsp. Coriander seeds
1/4 tsp. Jeera
1/4 tsp. Methi
10-12. Red chillies
1/2 cup. Dry coconut powder
Lemon size. Tamarind
Small pinch. Turmeric
Small pinch. Hing
Salt. According to taste
Jaggery Optional
Method:-
Roast all the above ingredients with very little oil. Grind them in a mixer after allowing them to cool and store in an airtight container.
It is necessary to roast channa dal first and add urad dal a little later; slowly add all
the ingredients one by one to be able roast uniformly.
This powder can also be prepared without jaggery and turmeric
for variation in the taste.
